Work Experience - Amy Hollywood

Amy Hollywood joined us on an internship programme after graduating from the National College of Ireland. She joined us in 2015 as the HR Assistant in our Support Office in Finglas. Amy notes:

"I’ve met so many people from all areas of the business and one big thing they all have in common is they put the customer first in everything they do. Every day brings its own different challenges and I’ve built a fantastic rapport with everyone.”

Tosho Operator - Shaun Sugden

Shaun started out as a HR Intern in early 2015. He has since developed an interest in other fields of the industry and we were delighted to offer him his current position as a Tosho Operator.

Pharmacy Assistant - Colette Greenhalgh

Colette has been working for Stacks Pharmacy since 2015. She originally started in our Kilbarrack Pharmacy and has showed strong work ethic with a detailed insight into sales and merchandising. This has led her to later join our support office team as EPOS Administrator.

Pharmacy Assistant - Amy McMahon

Amy joined Stacks Pharmacy on work experience and gained the opportunity to join the Kilbarrack Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant.

Pharmacy Assistant - Carol Moran

Carol Moran has been working for Stacks Pharmacy for 12 years. She is a pleasant and polite worker who brings a wealth of experience to our pharmacies.

Pharmacy Technician - Sharon Kelly

Sharon is one of our longest serving employees, having over 15 years’ experience with Stacks Pharmacy.

Trainee Technician - Bridget Egan

Bridget joined our Limerick Pharmacy in 2013 as a Pharmacy Assistant. In 2015, she gained the opportunity to complete the 2 year Pharmacy Technician's course to become a Qualified Technician in partnership with Stacks Pharmacy. Bridget notes:

“I was delighted to be given the opportunity to become a Trainee Technician and gain the blended learning of work in the pharmacy while being given the time to develop my skills as a technician. This has allowed me to be confident in my ability to dispense medication and further support the team in the Pharmacy.”

At Stacks Pharmacy, we have partnered with the Irish Pharmacy Union to provide qualifications for our colleagues who wish to progress within their careers at Stacks Pharmacy. We pay for and support our employees to reach their full potential.

Trainee Technician - Antoinette Snell

Antoinette joined us on a 10-week internship in 2015 and impressed us so much we offered her a position with us in our Clongriffin Pharmacy.

“It’s great working in the Tosho department of the pharmacy; I get practical experience on the dispensing software and all the different types of medication. It doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do.”

Jenny has been working for Stacks Pharmacy since 2006, she loves working as a Pharmacy Technician within the Kilbarrack Pharmacy and working with her team.

Sue has been working in the Kilbarrack Pharmacy since 2005 and highlights that she loves working with a “great bunch of people.” She also notes that she loves the interaction with customers.

Front of Shop Manager - Marian Saunders

Here at Stacks Pharmacy, we pride ourselves in promoting long standing employees such as Marian. Who has been working in our Gorey Pharmacy since early 2010 and is one of our most experienced employees.

PreReg Intern - Julie Clifford

Julie graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons with a 1.1 in Pharmacy. She joined us in 2015 as a Pre-Registered Pharmacist to conduct her 1-year work experience placement in our Glasnevin Pharmacy. Reflecting over the last 9 months, Julie noted:

“I have learned so much over the last 9 months in Stacks Pharmacy. Emma, the Pharmacist in Glasnevin, is so patient and gives me the opportunity to learn something new every day.”

Support Pharmacist - Clare Crehan

Clare Crehan has been a Support Pharmacist with Stacks Pharmacy for 5 years and works within our Marley Park Pharmacy, Clare notes:

Supervising Pharmacist - Thao Phan

Thao has been working for Stacks Pharmacy in Kilbarrack since 2006. She is recognisable by her constant smile and good nature.

Audrey is the Supervising Pharmacist for our Stacks Pharmacy branch in Castledermot and has worked for Stacks Pharmacy since 2011.

Ramy has been working for Stacks Pharmacy since March 2012. He has shown strength and initiative within his role ever since then and is primarily based at our branch in Lusk.

Managing Director/Superintendent Pharmacist - Adrienne Stack

Adrienne Stack has over 21 years’ experience working in the industry and launched Stacks Pharmacy in 2000, recently she has won Person of the Year award for her contributions to the community.

“Having worked in pharmacy in Ireland and travelled around the world, I always wanted to be my own boss. My model was to keep the friendliness and sense of community, what was great about Irish pharmacy and combine it with the best of the rest of the world’s innovation.

My mother was a nurse who went back to work as we grew up. As a pharmacist she was always asking "Is there a better way to manage the medication?”  As I went through college and travelled, her question was always at the back of my mind.

From this, a dedication to medication management became a particular interest and we now lead the field in Ireland with regard to practical ways to manage medication. Today as much as in 2000, we stay close to our roots through being involved in the community, we provide spot prizes, jerseys, sponsorship, work experience and help the long term unemployed get back to work.

Operations Director - Andrew Stack

Andrew initially joined Stacks Pharmacy in 2005 playing a key role in Operations, Project Management and the Development of Business Strategy within our organisation. Having over 15 years of experience within the Pharmaceutical industry, Andrew brings a wealth of experience in Operational, Financial and Property Portfolio management to the role. As well as a proven track record in developing and successfully executing strategy to maximise contractual performance, Andrew has consistently demonstrated that the service and value provided to our customers has been key to building lasting relationships and contractual growth.

Before joining Stack’s Pharmacy, Andrew was a Pharmaceutical Project Engineer for Organon Ireland, and then a Facilities Manager for Bristol Myers Squibb. These positions have thoroughly prepared him for his role as the Stack’s Pharmacy Operations Director.

Head of Retail Purchasing - Monica Macken

Monica has been with Stacks Pharmacy since 2004. She started as a Sales Assistant and worked her way up to Area Manager and head of retail purchasing.

“I love working for Stacks Pharmacy, meeting customers and the challenging retail environment.” Monica like many of our managers has shown great motivation and determination to excel within the company.

Mark Keegan was invited to be the Human Resource’s Manager at Stacks Pharmacy in 2015. Mark notes:

Marketing Manager - Kelly Jackson

Kelly Jackson joined Stacks Pharmacy as the Marketing Manager in 2017. Previously she worked for Hickey’s Pharmacy for over 7 years and collectively has 15 years’ experience working directly in marketing." she says she is delighted to join such a dynamic and caring company.
